    Taking Measurements

This is the distance from your feet to the crown of your head. To make it easy, stand against the wall (with your heels flat on the ground) and have someone mark where your head reaches on the wall. The measurement from that point to the floor is your height.

Have a friend or parent wrap the tape measure around your chest, just below your armpits. Take a deep breath and relax. The tape measure should be flat and snug, but not too tight.

Place the tape measure around the most narrow part of your waist, just above your hips. Add a little wiggle room for comfort (about 1/4th of an inch will do).

While standing, measure the widest part of your hips, just below your hip bone. Don’t pull too tight. The measuring tape should be flat and comfortable.

This one is a little tricky, you’ll definitely need help. Stand up. Start the tape measure in the middle of your right shoulder (between your neck and joint). Cross your back, pass through your legs, and cross your front to bring the tape measure back to the starting point to make a loop.

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Run the tape measure in a straight line from the top of your inner thigh to your heal.
